Professional development courses

Participant: English teacher Dace Zunda

From 12 to 17 August, Dace Zunda, English teacher and Head of English sub-area at Riga State German Grammar School, participated in the professional development course "Using Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT in Teaching" within the Erasmus+ project in Dublin, Ireland.

The course was organised by the teacher training centre "InterEducation". Participants from Latvia, Spain, Poland, Italy, Hungary and Slovakia learned how to use AI and ChatGPT to organise the learning process, create materials and to be aware of and mitigate the risks of using AI in our lives. The participants were introduced to different websites and tools for designing and differentiating lessons and had the opportunity to use them in practice. The knowledge gained will be useful in complementing the daily teaching process by using the platforms introduced during the course, as well as in sharing the experience with colleagues in the grammar school and with teachers from other schools.
